Frequently asked questions
TruePrivacy requires the Marketing > Contacts (read and delete), Suppressions (read and write), and Email Activity (read) scopes. We recommend creating a dedicated API key for TruePrivacy with only these scopes rather than using a full-access key.
When a deletion DSR is processed, TruePrivacy adds the email address to SendGrid's global suppression list in addition to removing the contact record. This ensures that future email sends to that address are blocked even if the contact is re-imported accidentally.
Yes, with the Email Activity (read) scope. TruePrivacy can include open, click, and bounce event data in access request exports. Note that SendGrid's email activity data retention is limited to 30 days on standard plans.
